Pump on a trolley

Move fluids with ease and efficiency across diverse applications with Global Pumps' comprehensive selection of trolley-mounted pumps. These robust and portable solutions offer numerous benefits:

  • Versatile functionality: Address multiple pumping needs with one pump, simplifying equipment management.

  • Space-saving design: Manoeuvre pumps easily in existing spaces, integrating seamlessly into production lines.

  • Improved safety: Eliminate heavy lifting, reducing the risk of injuries and promoting a safer work environment.

  • Unrivalled mobility: Navigate any terrain or obstacle effortlessly, ensuring adaptability across various settings.

A trolley-mounted pump, despite its mobility advantage, functions based on the same principles as any other pump. The key difference lies in its portability, achieved by mounting the pump unit on a wheeled frame (trolley) for easy transport and deployment.

The unique design of the peristaltic, hygienic, AOD trolley mounted pumps ensure they are suitable for a variety of applications and environments, including:

  • Yeast and Beer Transfer: Trolley-mounted pumps offer a mobile and efficient solution for transferring yeast slurries and finished beer between tanks during various stages of the brewing process. Their portability allows for easy positioning near different tanks, eliminating the need for permanent fixtures or lengthy hose runs.

  • Pump Over: During winemaking, the cap, a layer of grape skins and seeds that forms on top of the fermenting must, needs periodic mixing. Trolley-mounted pumps can be conveniently moved around the winery to perform "pump over," where juice is pumped from the bottom of the tank and sprayed over the cap, ensuring even extraction of colour and flavour components.

  • Tank Transfer: Similar to breweries, wineries often require transferring wine between fermentation tanks, storage tanks, and bottling lines. Trolley-mounted pumps provide a flexible and efficient way to accomplish these tasks, offering easy manoeuvrability around the winery.

  • Floc Dosing: In various industrial processes, flocculants (chemicals that cause particles to clump together) are added to liquids to aid in separation and settling. Trolley-mounted pumps can be used to accurately dose these flocculants at various points within a process, thanks to their precise flow control capabilities and easy positioning near mixing tanks.

  • Filter Press: Filter presses are used in many industries to separate solids from liquids. Trolley-mounted pumps can be employed to efficiently pump the liquid feed into the press and also transfer the filtered liquid to storage tanks. Their mobility allows for quick deployment and use with different filter presses throughout the facility.

  • Sump Cleaning: Sumps collect wastewater, sludge, or other materials at the low points of industrial facilities and mines. Trolley-mounted pumps, especially those designed for handling viscous and abrasive materials, can be used to clean out these sumps efficiently. Their portability enables them to reach and clean various sumps located throughout a large facility.

These are just a few examples, and trolley-mounted pumps find applications in various other industries such as food processing, chemical manufacturing, and wastewater treatment, thanks to their versatility and portability.

What materials do you make your trolleys from?

We utilise stainless steel for the bed and handles with solid or pneumatic tyres depending on the application.

My factory has lots of cables and hoses on the floor, would you be able to use larger wheels to help roll over these?

We typically use large pneumatic wheels for most applications. However, we can discuss your specific situation to determine if even larger wheels are necessary.

What pumps can you mount on a trolley?

We can mount virtually any pump on a trolley, as long as the size and weight are manageable. For larger pumps, we offer movable bases for added flexibility.

What do most people do with their trolley pumps when they aren’t using them?

The beauty of the trolley setup is its mobility! Clients store them in various places like under stairs, broom cupboards, or even showers – anywhere convenient to keep them out of the way while not in use.
