(0:08) The best efficiency point is usually referred to centrifugal pumps and it is the optimum or the best efficiency at which the pump will operate rate at a given speed and impeller size for the centrifugal pump.

(0:26) If you operate the pump to the left or to the right of the best efficiency point, this is called operating the pump away from the BEP.
