How do these pumps operate?

A cavity pump is a type of positive displacement pump. Unlike centrifugal pumps, these variations can theoretically produce the same flow at a given speed regardless of the discharge pressure. This creates a constant flow pump machine which has a great deal of practical uses in business.

Friction between the rotor and the stator creates a vacuum in the inlet area thereby helping the entry of the product into the pump. The turning motion of the rotor makes the cavities between the rotor and the stator move forward and transports the product to the outlet.
