THICKENER UNDERFLOW PUMPS

Thinking outside the square to maximise mining productivity

Global Pumps use Verderflex VF series peristaltic hose pumps to replace centrifugal slurry pumps, which reduces the maintenance significantly in Thickener Underflow Pump applications.

Pictured left is a Verderflex VF125 pump installed at the Sandfire Resources DeGrussa Copper-Gold Mine in Western Australia.

These hose pumps easily accommodate up to 80% solids – far superior to typical centrifugal slurry pumps, which lose efficiency at 30% solids and max out at 60% solids. Hose pumps have only one wearing part and can run dry indefinitely without damage.

No expensive mechanical seals, no labyrinth grease lubrication, smaller and tougher electric motors, no ongoing gland maintenance and sleeve replacements in gland packing delivers significant cost savings and productivity gains.

Plus, hose pumps require less than 25% of the process water of a centrifugal slurry pump and absolutely no gland flush water.

The ease of hose replacement and associated lower costs provides ongoing operational benefits to our installed base around Australia and the world.

Global Pumps supplies ultra tough pumps and spares for every pumping application in the mining workflow process, from the borefield to the tailings dam.
